The 2017 Nissan GT-R has been updated with an exciting new look both inside and out. As well as receiving major driving performance enhancements in key areas, which include a significantly reinforced chassis and more power from its twin-turbocharged. The Nissan GT-R is a stunner when it comes to acceleration, handling and braking. Even novice drivers will be able to extract impressive performance results. Like most sports cars, the GT-R requires some sacrifices with regard to comfort and convenience. Then again, shoppers in this arena are generally willing to give up some refinement in the name of performance.

2017 Nissan GT-R Engine

The Nissan GT-R’s development. Instead of a large, heavy engine thirsty for fuel, the Nissan GT-R is powered by an ideally sized. Twin-turbocharged 3.8-L V6 that produces a prodigious 565 hp and equally immense 467 lb.-ft of torque. Just as important as the engineering is the actual assembly. The last GT-R we tested was a 2015 model that launched to 60 mph in a blistering 3.2 seconds. The 2017 model has a slight power advantage, so it might shave that time down a bit. Either way, this is one of the quickest cars on the road. EPA fuel-economy estimates stand at 18 mpg combined (16 city/22 highway), which is a respectable result for such a high-performance car.

Or let your eyes travel across a dashboard that comes from a single Nappa leather hide, hand-selected for tone, and free of even the smallest imperfection. This is attention to detail bordering on obsession. Available semi-aniline leather appointments on the center console, door panels, and shift lever surround you in comfort, while available semi-aniline leather and double-stitching on the seats are a tactile and visual feast. The Display Commander lets you dial in your world, allowing you to control key functions through GT-R’s multi-touch screen.

By rotating the dial, or pushing it to the left or right, you can scroll through all menus, and move selections around the screen. Now feature reconfigured urethane foam within their bolsters for better torso support. This results in less slippage during spirited driving and reduced fatigue on long commutes. And, by reconfiguring the support wires within the seatback frame, the engineering team was able to reduce the weight of each seatback while simultaneously reducing pressure points upon the torso of both the driver and front passenger for a more relaxed seating position.
