The facelifted S-Class should feature the same drivetrains as the current model, but Merc will probably add a bit more power to each. The U.S. lineup should remain unchanged and consist of the S550, S550e, S550 4Matic, and S600. The S550 and S550 4Matic will continue with the biturbo, 4.7-liter V-8, while the S550e will get the same hybrid powertrain consisting of a biturbo, 3.0-liter V-6 and an electric motor. The S600, on the other hand, uses a biturbo, 6.0-liter V-12 that generates 523 horsepower. Don’t expect any of these units to get more than 15 additional ponies with the facelift.
