The 2017 Lexus ES could be just the thing. We like how the 300h is impressively roomy and quiet yet can cruise down the road getting 40 mpg. Even though the overall shape and size of the ES remained unchanged, the revision brought Lexus’ new “spindle grille” to the sedan’s front fascia. The 2017 Lexus ES includes some previously optional safety features as standard equipment for 2017. Otherwise it carries over unchanged. Featuring a long wheelbase and fine-tuned suspension, the ES offers an exhilarating driving experience. At Lexus, service is more than just taking care of your vehicle.
2017 Lexus ES Engine
Specifically, 2017 Lexus ES carries on with Toyota’s venerable 3.5-liter V-6 generating 268 horsepower and 248 pound-feet of torque. The unit features the same VVT-i variable valve timing system and mates to the same six-speed automatic transmission. That being said, expect EPA ratings to remain at 21 mpg city, 31 mpg highway, and 24 mpg combined. Four-wheel power-assisted discs, with four-sensor, four-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist* and regenerative function. Dual cam, four valves per cylinder, with continuously Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i). Combined EPA fuel economy remains identical to last year’s figure at 40 mpg. As you might have already guessed, performance remained unchanged too.
2017 Lexus ES Interior
The 2017 Lexus ES cabin is modern and stylish. The richness of the materials depends on the available optional packages (you can even get bamboo trim), but in typical Lexus fashion, everything is stitched together with world-class care regardless of materials. Taking the comfort of the standard seats even further, the available heated and ventilated front seats offer separate heaters and fans in the seat cushions to provide optimum comfort, regardless of the weather. As you approach, exterior lights illuminate to help prevent you from stepping in puddles or other potential hazards. And, to welcome you inside, the interior features white LED illumination. NuLuxe seating material offers more than just good looks and a supple texture. It weighs half as much as leather, and its manufacturing process generates far less CO2 and VOC emissions than other synthetic leathers.
