The 2016 Mitsubishi Montero is a mid-size SUV that has been in production since 1996. 2016 Mitsubishi Montero is Mitsubishi’s new answer to the pick-up platform SUV market where it is set to go against the Chevrolet Trailblazer, Ford Everest, Isuzu Mu-X, and the newly launched Toyota Fortuner. The Mitsubishi has officially revealed the next generation 7-seat Montero Sport yesterday in Thailand. This time Mitsubishi gifted the rugged Montero Sport with unique styling cues, including more contemporary front and rear end designs and this is the most style-focused Montero Sport ever, a move that reflects its upmarket ambitions. It is now longer, but standards shorter compared to its predecessor which measures at 4695 mm x 1815 mm x 1840 mm and retains the same wheelbase. Ground clearance stands at 218 mm with a 30-degree approach angle, 23-degree ramp break-over angle and 24-degree rear departure angle. Suspension is composed of a double wishbone with coils up front and 3-link coil spring rear configuration updated with better damping and revised geometry for better handling and ride. Wading depth is rated at 700 mm, a 100 mm increase over its predecessor.
